Background: Cryptococcosis is an opportunistic, systemic mycotic disease caused by a yeast of Cryptococcus neoformans. These pathogens cause serious public health problems, as they can be transmitted to humans, domestic and wild animals. In cats dogs, the main site infection upper lower respiratory tract, however, extend affect other sites in organism, peritoneal manifestation rare. Thus, present work aims report case cryptococcosis canine, mixed breed, female, adult, from Metropolitan Region Belém.Case: A breed dog, adult was admitted veterinary hospital at Belém, presenting abdominal discomfort and, after clinical examination, emergency exploratory laparotomy indicated, it were observed disseminated lesions cavity, with multiple nodules attached peritoneum intestinal serosa bladder, uterus, among organs. Fragments surgical biopsy fixed, processed routinely according techniques for histological tissue processing. Histological examination revealed predominance granulomatous mesentery It discrete inflammatory reaction macrophages, epithelioid cells giant cells, many phagocytosis spherical or ovoid organisms, thick capsule clear perinuclear halo. PAS staining, conidia presented eosinophilic characteristics some them had well demarcated, which shown radiated.
